# UnshortenMe

UnshortenMe is a tooling integration. Tooling Data Source integrations are used during investigations to improve analysis and in interactive chat to help answer questions. They are optional, but enabling more tooling integrations enhances Dropzone analysis.

The Dropzone platform integrates with [UnshortenMe](https://unshorten.me/) to resolve shortened links, which are often used to hide the actual targets of malicious URLs.

## Create an API Key

UnshortenMe requires an API key to enable.

To obtain an API Key, do the following:

* If you do not have one already, create a free account [here](https://unshorten.me/social_accounts/signupp)
* In your profile page, copy the token value shown for use later in the Dropzone UI where it is called "API Key"

## Enable UnshortenMe

To enable the Data Source integration, do the following:

* Navigate to your Dropzone AI tenant home page e.g. https\://*mycompany*.dropzone.app
* In the bottom left hand corner, click Settings > Integrations

* Click "Configured"

* In the Search bar, search UnshortenMe, and click it

* Input the API key
* Click "Test & Save" to finish
